About me:

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned my Bachelors degree in Spanish and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I moved to Austin in 2021 to pursue my Masters at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a Spanish interpreter, migrant educator, and research assistant, and completed graduate internships providing counseling in schools and nonprofits.

I have worked as a therapist since 2023, and have since completed post-graduate training in Modern Analytic therapy, Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Somatic Experiencing (Beginning Level III trained).

My interests center on the intersections between mental health, social justice, contemplative practices and embodiment. In my personal life, I enjoy hiking, foraging plants and fungi, dancing, painting, cooking, reading, and making music.

My style is empathetic but direct. I am not a “worksheets and breathing exercises” kind of therapist. Instead, I work with you to explore your psyche at a deeper level. I listen with compassion and without judgement, but I’m not afraid to challenge you if needed. My goal is to help you feel free to say anything that’s on your mind, to express yourself emotionally, and to know and accept parts of yourself that you may struggle with.
